Providing a Christ-centered education for PreK-12th grade students

Since 1981, Billings Christian School has provided educational choice for families eager to give their children a rigorous academic foundation from a Biblical worldview. Thousands of students have been equipped to think critically and live faithfully for Jesus!

In 2024, BCS will serve over 400 students from more than 40 Billings churches at its Grand Avenue elementary and middle school campus and Shiloh Road high school campus. When you support BCS, you establish youth in their faith and equip them to be dynamic Christian leaders throughout their lives

Initiatives

Warrior Fund

The Warrior Fund is Billings Christian School’s annual fund. This annual campaign provides necessary resources above-and-beyond the budget that enable the school to make significant strides in overall development. When you give to the Warrior Fund, you provide scholarships for families in need, improve school infrastructure and safety, and supply teacher Grants for Excellence.

The annual Legacy Dinner and Auction began over 20 years ago and is hosted by the Big Sky Christian Education Foundation Board of Directors. It is one of the premiere annual events in Billings, providing parents, financial partners, and business and community leaders with a dynamic evening out that makes a significant and lasting impact on the lives of BCS students. Banquet proceeds have supported the new BCS gym and middle school addition, a new playground, academic program enrichments, scholarships, and endowments.

The Big Sky Christian Education Foundation Athletic Sponsorship program allows local and state businesses to support and celebrate BCS athletics while promoting their business through BCS gymnasium banners, sports programs, social media channels, and more. In 2024, BCS will host the state volleyball and soccer tournament, allowing even greater advertising reach! Contact Foundation staff or board members to secure your sponsorship!

WARRIOR FUND: Scholarships & Gymnasium Multi-Use Equipment

Cultivating Dynamic Christian Leaders for Regional & Worldwide Ministry

Since 1987, Montana Bible College has equipped future Christian leaders to be gospel-centered disciple-makers for the glory of God and the advancement of His church. Graduates serve throughout the Rocky Mountain region, the nation, and the world.

MBC moved from Bozeman to Billings, Montana, in 2023 to enter a unique partnership with Billings Christian School, creating one of the only K-16 Christian education partnerships in the nation! Accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education, MBC offers bachelor’s degree programs in Pastoral Studies, Biblical Counseling, Intercultural Ministry and World Christianity, and Biblical Studies (with a choice of general ministry or next gen ministry emphases), as well as six professional degrees, an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies, and a 1-year Certificate in Biblical Worldview. When you support MBC, you equip students to contribute to the spiritual health and vibrancy of families, churches, and communities!

Initiatives

One of the pillars of MBC is keeping tuition and housing costs as low as possible to allow students to graduate debt-free so they can enter ministry unencumbered. Supporting the MBC Annual Fund with one-time and recurring monthly gifts keeps student costs low and all aspects of operations running smoothly.

In addition to merit scholarships and church matching scholarships, MBC strives to give up to $2,000 in annual scholarships to students, increasing access to one of the only accredited Bible colleges in Montana. Supporting the MBC scholarship fund is a direct way to impact individual students who seek to minister in the Rocky Mountain region…and beyond.

MBC renovated two existing buildings on its new Billings campus to serve as men’s and women’s dormitory housing beginning in fall 2024. Additional remodel work (flooring, bathrooms, kitchen) needs to be completed in the Student Union area. Other needs include reimbursement funding for crucial security system upgrades made in the fall to keep students and staff safe.

MBC is excited to be in Billings and eager to engage with new students, surrounding churches and communities, and financial partners who are passionate about equipping Christian leaders! Support for a multimedia studio will help MBC dynamically communicate and raise awareness of how students and communities can benefit from what it offers.

Executive Director:
Ross Corson

Ross Corson brings an ideal combination of history and experience to the role of BSCEF Executive Director. He is a Billings native and taught at Billings Christian School when it first opened in 1981. Recently, Corson taught a Biblical worldview class at the high school before transitioning to full-time service for the Foundation in June 2024. Corson was also a previous Foundation board member.

Between his initial BCS teaching role and his current position, Corson worked as a sales representative for Merck and Company Inc. and as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services. Frequently Asked Questions

The partnership between Billings Christian School and Montana Bible College is very unique. It was entered with much prayer and consideration for the flourishing of both schools and their students and staff.

Each school is managed separately by a board of directors. Foundation board and staff members fundraise for each school’s unique needs, in conjunction with BCS and MBC administration. Foundation staff provide administrative and development oversight in the solicitation and management of funds. The Foundation also owns the campus property for both schools, which operate under Memorandums of Understanding for shared spaces. Each school also has designated spaces used solely for their students.

BCS students will have the opportunity for dual enrollment at MBC.

The beauty of this partnership is that you can support your individual school of choice—or the greater mission of ensuring that Christian education thrives in Billings and Montana!

If you love the idea of people coming together to support Christian education from pre-k through college, you can direct your giving to the Foundation to be used where most needed. You may also choose to direct your giving specifically toward Montana Bible College or Billings Christian School. It’s your choice, and we thank you for your financial partnership!

This is one of our favorite questions because exciting things happen when organizations work together! The Foundation will continue its regular rotation of initiatives to support BCS—the Legacy Banquet, athletic sponsorships, and the Warrior Fund.

The Foundation will work with MBC to launch an annual fundraiser and bolster its presence and reach in Billings. And leadership from all three entities are working together on future vision for the students and campuses God has entrusted to our collective stewardship.

For now, we have partnered with Christian architectural firm, 100 Fold Studio, to create a master plan for the BCS Grand Campus and the shared BCHS and MBC Shiloh Campus. We look forward to sharing more about how God is working to bolster Christian education in Billings and reach the region and the world with His love and salvation.
